We have two small ponds, both fed by water seeping through an underlay of glacial till and clay. They are small, and in close proximity to one another. We would like to formalize them a bit and get some water movement to reduce mosquito breeding.
So, a pump seems necessary. The question is whether place liners or not to.

to our group! Ground water will push up the liner, How full does it keep the ponds? enough to pump around.

Welcome! Sounds very pretty. I would agree that a liner might not be manageable with ground water coming up. But aeration and a pump/filter might make it prettier. Any pics?

Welcome absarokee, Water movement is always good. I would try small changes at first and see if you get the desired effect. My guess is.......Wyoming!
