In other words, how do I calculate what strength hose I need to take water from my pondless vault up to my waterfall .
The only specs my pump has are as follows:- 20,000lph (5200gph), 165 watts max (variable), Head height 9.5m (31 ft).
I'm using 50mm (2") pipe on a total length of about 6m (20ft) with a waterfall height of only .7m (2 1/2ft).
My hose is rated at 29 psi. Is that enough?
It seems that the specification I need is the inlet pressure of the pump but I have no idea how to determine that from the only specs I have on my pump. Is there a formula?
Thanks
