my fish have started spawning !! a whole month earlier than they did last year. been so warm here in the UK temps in the 80s today pond water is 60 ...ponds a mess,plants in shred's .. i hate spawning !! anyone want some baby fantails !!!! lol

have fun watching all those babies! I do not notice much of a mess in my lily/goldfish pond...but omg the main pond with the koi yes, some years is horrid, last year I was doing waterchanges so often, sometimes I think that iniciated it.

My fish are still wearing their long underwear, mittens and knit caps...........no thoughts of spawning................just spooning in their little beds to keep warm at night :rolleyes:

Lucky you and your warmth.............my fish will never make much of a mess as I only have the goldies..............Koi are the monster mess makers that love to re-arrange all the furniture :rolleyes:

Been so warm here checked temp today and it is 70 in the water but other new pond is only 45 .Pumped already 500 gallons out of it so far no fish

How come no fish in the pond...........did varmints get them? Maybe they are all hiding :lol:

nanner nanner nanner............lol jw my pond hit 65 today.
Maybe the other owners never put any in, or if they did, they all poofed by now.

we are not sure other owners even had fish or what the pond was built for .They were foreclosed on over a year ago

so far dirty smelly water and we had to take down at least 30 scrub pines and tons of dead vegetation and a whole lot of garbage we burned sofas chairs and just junk
