Hi there,
Just cleaned my pond filter as the water in the pond was green, but it's still coming out green. What is the correct way to put the sponge filters back in place?

I have been cleaning my deceased father in law's Cf10 filter, and I don't think it makes any difference. The main issue I have is he has stretched the rubber seal so is difficult to get it water tight, so don't move the seal if you can avoid it.

Regards the water colour, most pond shops will stock a cleaner that basically clumps all the small floaty bits that pass through the filters, so that being bigger, they get stuck. Pour via a watering can diluted over the surface. Initially your pond will look really bad, it will take about a week to sink to the bottom or get stuck in the filter. Also be aware you will have to clean the filter again sooner than you expected.
