Carp has a lesion on top of its head, been there for nine months, have tried various treatments, e.g., anti-ulcer, etc. Any advice?

Is it healing or getting worse? I’m no expert, but I’ve seen others post about koi pox, and discuss wounds, bacterial infection, etc. Have you tested your water? Water conditions impact their ability to heal.

Look through this section to see other posts about things like koi pox, injures, ulcers. IF you have to treat it, you’ll want a quarantine tank or kiddie pool, which should be filled with pond water, have an air pump, and you’ll treat the fish separately in that. Any medication should not go back on the pond.

No, it’s not healing; about to test water now!

I can't tell too much from these pictures. To my non expert eye it does not look infected and if it's had it for 6 months, it's possible it's healed with scar tissue? If you could get a close up picture it would help. Some ulcers will heal on their own with excellent pond water....keep the parameters as near perfect as you can.

Looks like HITH. If it is then quarantine and treat with Melafix.
