Hello,
I just bought a koi and upon arrival I noticed that he has some type of swelling on top of his mouth. I'm not sure exactly what it is but I was hoping someone here had experience with this disease. It looks like a white bump, but it has swelled up the whole tip of the kois mouth. Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome!

Maybe someone else can help you, but honestly, I can’t see what you are talking about. Maybe, if you could get clearer pictures....?

If you just bought the koi, why not take it back where you got it and let them see.

I'd suggest the same - if you bought the fish from a reputable source, they would want to see whatever it is that is concerning to you. Is this fish in a tank just temporarily? Hopefully you bought it with a nice big pond for him/her to move in to!

Hello all, I just got better photos. I bought him from a private seller who said that the koi was fine and healthy but I have never seen a koi with his face shaped like that. It looks like a pimple of the top of his mouth. Could I be overreacting lol? Yes I do plan on putting him in my pond but I live in Canada and my pond is frozen over so I don't wanna put him in until there is better weather here.

Did you have it shipped or buy it in person and bring it home. Could be nose burn from bumping against the container during transport.

As long as it doesn’t effect its eating, would keep an eye on it during this period before you add it to the pond. Don’t really see much of a bump, just nose redness.

Alright, I'll keep a eye on him and I'll update if anything else happens, Thanks for the input!
