Koi laying eggs?

Still a newbie at ponds and fish, but do koi that I bought last year lay eggs?

There are a couple of active kois in one of my lily plants today.

How big are they? Any idea of their ages? I have 2 year olds that are chasing but still too young.

Just got them last year, not sure of age. By the size I would say still babies.

If they are under 10", I would say you were safe.
