Koi Spawning??

Hello, Just joined the forum.

I only have 1 koi in my pond and several mixed goldfish. I have never really had baby fish before. Yesterday i noticed a milky cloudy look in a shallow end of my pond. I read online it could be because the Koi is spawning. So i took a tip from a friend and put in a mop head in the shallow end...

So will there be koi eggs on it soon? Did i already miss my chance? When should i look?

Please give me tips...I have an extra hard plastic liner i could put the eggs in if i can get any...Please Help!

It maybe a male just doing his thing. I wouldn't look for eggs from the koi

Sorry! i posted hear first then i saw a thread for koi spawning so it was a better fit on that one!

I think it would be hard for determine the purchase a female koi, anyway. I don't know how to determine the sex of a koi. Though perhaps someone here does.
