Leak in my Bog Filter

Just noticed there is a leak somewhere in my bog filter. Trying to narrow down where it is and how it happened. I know cat tail roots have been known to grow right through a liner but is it possible for them (or any other plant) to grow through a liner in 1.5 months? I just put the plants there at the beginning of May. I thought it would take years for roots to grow through a new liner.

Very doubtful that your leak is the result of root penetration. Look for the leak somewhere around the perimeter of the "bog".

Plants redirect water real nicely. I do plant yanks off and on all summer to make sure the stream, lil ponds, bog keep flowing correctly. My biggest maintenance it yanking excess plant growth.
