Also, I really like driftwood and foraging. Here are some of the driftwood pieces I have brought home from our adventures. Where I live, it’s legal to collect driftwood from public parks and nature areas as long as you don’t use motorized tools like chainsaws, or dolly’s/carts, and there is a limit of 3 cubic feet per person, per day. I don’t have any pictures of these pieces strapped to my Stand Up Paddleboard, but it’s a funny sight to see.
Nice ones!

Oregon, and it isn’t a free for all either. There are restrictions and limits for how much you can take, and the state can and has issued temporary orders to restrict driftwood collection if they feel it is getting sparse, or if a storm pulls all the driftwood off the beach until it gets replenished. It also has to be loose - you can’t dig them out if they are embedded in the sand or in a dune, and park rangers will stop you to measure your “haul” if they think the pieces you are carrying are larger than the allowable amount. Most people would have a hard time carrying a piece of driftwood off a beach that was larger than 3 cubic feet though.

I try to be as conscious as I can be of the environmental impact from any pieces I grab.

You saw the pitcher plants bog that too was all left over because the falls had a stream like section heading to it so I had 8 feet left over I simply dug about 6 inches by 2 feet by 10 feet too maybe 15 minutes . Folded up the liner and it wasn't 6 months latter I was pulling it up and making the pitcher plant bog . I shouldn't call it bog as people will think it's an upflow bog when it is actually more a real bog where the area is just constantly wet there is zero flow.
So to answer your question I'd live with your pond a year before you go cutting anything. Unless your beyond sure what your building is it, no mods will be made. THATS NOT ME.
I'm wanting to make pitcher plant bog I tried planting a pitcher plant 2 years ago and I thought I had it in a good spot. it was above water level but the depth was bellow water and it got supper wet so I had the plant above so it could get wet but not water logged as that's what the instructions said and it died. Any advice my next one will be a larger space. It was next to the pond Inside a liner pocket.

I plant in peat and CORSE sand 50% 50 % pitchers water ph in the 6s where ss you know is against keeping our fish the pitchers just have their feet wet . And I have recently started feeding them meal worms with great results. I was thinking it was lack of heat but I now think it's be cause how many pitchers I have yet the area is surrounded on three sides by water , so the thought was there couldn't be enough food getting to them all. Though it's early I do believe it is working well
Never fertilize or water with city water that has chlorine or chlormine

who was it that made those fake rocks from cement and even made corner blocks and edging rocks from cement . I remember the posted pics on here and on youtube. Fairystone park here in VA does not care as long as it is on the edges of the park . Anything that washs out goes to the edges downhill and you can find root balls and lots of rocks that have crosses on them and lots of other neat rocks also . The stuff washs downhill is free to take . I pulled out lots of stuff from the creeks there

no commiebook for me . I use youtue to fix things and get info . I just went on last week to check about greased spindles for my 46 inch cub cadet and found a guy on there that bought new ones on amazon and he left a link 28 dollars a piece with free shipping and came with everything . I The sealed bearings on lawnmowers are garbage . I have greased the ones I unsealed on the mower at least once a year and the one on the non shut side keeps seizing up . I will save the odl spindles and pulleys and put a zerk fitting in them when i get the time over the winter . My honey do list has grown for me . I still trying to get someone to come and fix the leak in the roof and repair the damage . So far 10 thousand dollars in damage . Going to put in a proapne stove sealed one so no chimney needed but will have a blower . Sad all the trade people have went out of business
