My pond has been pea soup for about a month now and i decided to feed my fissh some red leaf lettuce. They didnt eat the lettuce but the next day the pond water was rsytal clear. Does anyone know why this is so?
I have comet goldfish, mosquitofish and a pleco cat, numerous water plants an a willow tree in my pond.

Water Lettuce is definetly different from that which you can buy at a supermarket. Go to your local nursery and ask who has it.

My bad, didn't read the entire message. Somehow I think the red leaf lettuce had nothing to do with the water clarity.
Did the temperature drop suddenly, cloud cover? Coolet temperatures might have take the algae out of solution or the Bio filter kicked in and did it's job.

Thank you if it isn't the lettuce it probably is my biofilter, it was still an interesting coincidance.
