The greenhouses are doing their jobs. We've had lows in the upper twenties twice and several of the established lilies are still blooming.

I noticed mine today are sprouting little leaves too .I wonder if when the cold comes again it will kill the plant .Even my weeping pussy willow has little fluffs opening .Not sure what you call those little fluff balls .

Wow didn't even think it could get that low in Louisiana! Congrats on those very pretty lilies blooming through it all! I know you have built that nice area to house them in and saw the nice photo on the contest page. All looks perfect in there!

How about some more pics, Minnowman, to tease those of us with cold temps, but hoping soon to have plants growing and waterfalls running and fish swimming around wanting to be fed! I need another burst of spring from your greenhouse. :) Please and thanks!!

Ok, Here's a few from today. The last one is a thistle growing in the back yard. It's about 3.5' tall and wide.

Yippee!!! Thanks very much. How long do I have to wait to ask again? Just kidding!

Today was quite warm, although pretty windy here in IL, about 48 and windy. I worked on my waterfall, as I just HAD to get out there and do something. Also cleaned the rest of the bottom of my pond, so I'm ready to get it up and going again, soon as I can get my bottom flush valve to shut all the way on my filter container. Grr ... Maybe because I moved stuff around on the bottom, or maybe because of the sunshine and warmer temps, but all the fish, koi included, were swimming around today. I loved it!

Holy cow, JW, I never knew that artichokes bloomed, or if they did that they looked so beautiful! Why would anyone eat them, just grow them to bloom. LOL Very pretty!
And, thanks, Minnowman! It's so much fun working on our ponds. It really never does end, but I wouldn't want it to. :) Still very anxious to be able to every morning sit on my deck and enjoy the fish. Soon .... very soon ....
