Anyone know of a low-cost device for shutting off the pump if water level gets too low?

Mine has a "thermal" protective device but it doesn't really shut down the pump

I've been using a diaphram successfully for 3 years but this year I'm having some issues with it

I'm thinking there might be some other device like a toilet thing that can shut off power (toilet plunger or float)

My pump is $300 and I don't want to ruin it should water get too low. thx

SUMP PUMP FLOAT SWITCH.. available at any hardware store. sold seperately from pumps.. go between pump plug and power recepticle.
the switch plugs into power and the pump plugs into the switch plug...real easy. i partially unplugged the connections here so you can see them PTDC0003.JPG
