Lumps on Koi and Goldfish

Hi

One of my goldfish has had a lump for around 1 month now and one of my koi seems to be developing the same problem, I would describe the lumps as slimy and seem to be on and under the scales, the goldfish lump seems to be just 1 spot and clearly stocks out on the koi it is making the scales stick out as you can see in the image any light you can shed on the matter would be greatly appreciited.

Appears to be a parasitic sore that may be turning to a ulcer. hard to say with getting a skin smear and look under a microscope to actully see what it is. If you could include more infromation about size of pond, stocking levels, water parameters, PH, Nitrite, nitrate, General hardness, Carbonate hardness, size of pond, etc. this will greatly help when others look at the thread and want to chime in on what to do.
