I found a Vapour Moth larvae on a plant by the pond and I believed it to be Female. I kept an eye on it each day and it got bigger and bigger, then I took it indoors and fed it with the plant it had been feeding on by the pond until one day it started to make it's cocoon. It took around 36 hours to finally finish building it's cocoon, those tiny black and white hairs have come from the larvae itself, but I didn't witness that. Finally the Moth Emerged and I can't believe how upset I became due to the fact it was Male, Females are far more exciting to watch as they are wingless and when they emerge they stay with the cocoon and await for a Male to come along and mate with her, then she lay's her eggs on the cocoon and then sadly she dies.
