So I'm making a pond, and I'm a newbie, but for materials I put:
Liner
Pump
Water
Shovel
Sand
Rocks(all sizes)
Plants
Fish
Other animals
Am I missing anything?

What size pond always add more electrical than you think you need .My son did mine back in 2005 and he warned me put in more and I didn't listen and a couple of weeks ago I had a friend add more .My son is licensed and put my outlets on switch;s that are in my master bedroom .The new outlets are on a switch on my covered front porch .This way I can turn off pumps and uv's to clean or change and clean them

I agree with @sissy . being a jack of all master of none here I can add more electrical as needed to a point. In fact I need to do that for this winter so I can keep bog pump and mechinal filter pump going with a heater. As before my bog, a small pump and heater is what I did. Thankfully I just need to ad an outlet as my pond is pretty much on its own circuit.

I upped my breaker from a 20 to a 30 amp breaker .I had 9 outlets and 2 switch's and now have 7 more outlets and 2 more switch's .You have to think about some of the plugs having those longer plug ins that cover the outlet below .I also added outlets to each side of my house .Since it was free work and just cost for the parts it is better to pay once and get enough .Remember also to get the deep covers that protect the plugs not the other kind
