Might be a dumb question. Is it better to stock a pond with one type of Goldfish or is it okay to mix? I am worried about the mix breeding of the different kinds of Goldfish.

Most all will go together fine except maybe those fat butt wiggler fancy types that might not be able to keep up w/the faster ones for food.

I had fan tails, shubunkins, comets all together. They did fine. The fan tails ended up being a snack for the heron, they move slower than the other fish.

The eating isn't a issue. I have them all together now and they all eat fine. I have no predatory animals. I am just wondering about the mixed breeding. Will that be an issue? If they do cross breed will people want the babies.
