More Filtration

Hi,
Recently build a raised goldfish pond in my back garden. Bought an all in one system from all pond solutions (CUP-129). But the filter only has two very small course filter foams in and a very small biological filter section. Was just wondering if there is any way of adding more filtration. Was looking at the all pond solutions 2.3L filter booster but it says that is is only for aquarium use. Since there is no electric to it would it do fine for outside use?
Thanks James

Welcome to the forum James. Not familiar with a lot of your UK equipment but might have to do with the UV resistance of the plastic if only inside recommended. Would work until the plastic becomes brittle, which could be bad if outside the pond.

Depending on your setup you you could route the pump output into another container with media so it would flow through. Some have used a flower pot and made a mini bog/plant filter. Others have put pumps inside another container with additional media which also acts as a prefilter. This prevents the small foam pads from plugging quickly which can be an issue in an outdoor pond with natural debris.

The size of the pond / aquarium is a must know. To be able to say what filter is more what's the water volume to fish load. I wouldn't recomend a bead filter on 500 gal.
Maybe a bog is the solution.
