I am new to ponding but I thought it would be easy....not. I live on a river and wanted something else to occupy my time.

welcome and yep to start ponds are hard but over time as the become established they get easier .I learned just how hard it is after 10 years with my pond and then last year moles chewed through the liner and now I understand just how hard it is to start up a new pond .

Welcome Byck. I grew up near a very large river. Extremely wide, deep, swift, opposing currents, whirl pools and muddy. High sand cliffs in some areas. Great times in the deep wood and at the river.
