2-4 plants. Good luck finding hardy pond plants. You may have to wait till spring now, :)

blue oat grass you will have to watch as here they spread fast and wind blows the seeds all over and I now have it growing in my lawn .I just bought it 2 months ago . I saw the little blue plants coming up around my yard .

Ok, good to know about oat grass. Colleen I'll keep the fingers crossed, got 70% off which won't mean much if they all die.

We really love what you have done here , I wish our pond was less than the formal koi pond it is i:e deviod of everything but the koi however when its finished it should look really nice , we only have the cosmetic stuff to finish ( next season weather permitting ).
We lost two years of our build to rain when that damn Jet stream parked itself over the UK for the second time , rain man I've never seen so much of the stuff

The deer will not get at mine with a 6ft wood fence. But rabbits another story. Had a pocket gopher 2 years in a row digging in the garden.

Thks Dave, we all build them to our own likes. The only wrong ponds are the poorly designed ones, with little or no filtration amongst other problems.

Rain, I can take lots of rain if that put me within 2 hours of the ocean. Alberta is 13 hrs from West Coast.
