Here is a picture where the new pond is going at the new property. It's going to be roughly inside the area where the cement stones are. The whole space is 29' from the back railing to the front of the garage and the garage is 26' across to give a point of reference. I'm thinking the new pond where be somewhere around 16 x 9 and around 2500-3000 gallons.

Thanks Addy. I'm thinking of starting a new thread under pond construction for it. I'll probably have to dig the pond over the summer because my wife wants to put our house on the market in the next few months even though we won't even be close to being done with the construction project. I don't want my fish to be homeless!

Thanks for your input Faebinder. I'm not quite sure if I want to swim with my fish or not but that might be fun!

The fun with the project started! We gutted the basement a few weeks ago and did a little work on the 1st floor. Eventually the whole building will be gutted and rebuilt and a new floor will be added to it.

Hi CE, You are too funny. I'm not a carpenter at all and my wife won't even let me hang a picture because I couldn't hang it straight, but I do have 3 carpenter crews that work for me! Oh and I broke the news to my wife what happens to the fish if we sell our house before our project gets done. (ie. I would dig a hole in the backyard for the pond and put in a liner). She just assumed I would give them away and get new ones!
