Hi everyone. I am recently retired and have recently dug out a pond in my back garden, lined and filled with about 10,000 gallons of water. I do not intend to keep fish, the pond was always meant to be a wildlife pond with a stream and small waterfall. I live in West Sussex and am totally new to all things ponds so hoping to reach out to his hopefully friendly community of enthusiasts for help. I will be posting my first ask as soon as I have finished the intro.

i also did not intend to put fish in my pond. then later i found out having some fish is good for the pond balance ( i learned that here). so i added 10 gold fish to my pond this week. welcome!
