Your water certainly doesn't look gross to me, Priscilla. Are you talking about a different pond or did you receive an epiphany from above? Maybe you used a green lens filter? The pond fairy visited? Que pasa?

Love the tropicals, I think I'm especially partial to the blues.

Too bad I can't have them up here, they'd be too much trouble to hump into the basement each and every winter.

I'll keep mine in the Dominican, the fabled land of sun, gin & tonic.

No same pond. Its not gross, but you can't see anything in it. I haven't seen my fish in weeks. The plants are loving it as you can see.

Do you deadhead on a regular basis (ie. remove the spent blooms before they can sink to the bottom)?

Beautiful lilies. It's amazing the difference in just the leaf patterns between the hardies and the tropical.

Here's the thing, until recently, I didn't have so many blooms - the pond went green, the flowers went mad! Now I guess I need to get in the pond and dead head, but the pond is green, I can't even see what I am doing. Will be interesting!

Another problem is going to be my net. I have it off right now, but when its on, I can't really net the bottom or dead head.

One of the reasons I use the wide weave net and have it high over the water. For me works great still easy to work on the pond.
