It really is a nice pond. I hope you continue sharing the wildlife with us throughout the season.

Nice piece of property. Oh boy I see lots of room for when you get the urge to enlarge your pond. More pond and gardens = less grass to mow

I know what you mean. My pond is built on a big slope, the lower wall of my pond and bog is built up around 7-8 feet the top wall is dug down 4 feet to reach level. If I had the up slope edge level with the ground the down slope side would have been a 11-12 foot wall. I built a dirt berm to hold it, so far so good, it has been 4 years now.

Ahhh, I see, so it's kind of on a sloped hill there............hey what a great place for a big long creek to flow into the pond!
Addy here did that w/ her pond and she's on a really steep hill. She made pools of water as the stream meanders its way down to the bottom big pond. Did you check out her showcase yet?

I got to 12 and got lost :)
They sure do love that pond you made for them. Wonder how many you can have there w/o them chasing each other off?
