so i skipped out of church yesterday (never do this maybe 2 times a yr) and its a good thing i did! providence?

i look at my pond and see the bottom (of the 3) ponds is just about empty less than 12" water and a few fish appear to be attempting to get up the waterfall (how do they know there is water up there?)
over night i had lost about 750 gal. had i gone to church ( we are gone like 5 hours as we eat out after and its 25 minutes away) they would have been dead for sure. all 16 of my fish are in the bottom pond.

procrastination is my middle name.

after finally getting all the waterfalls to not leak, getting a very clear pond i developed a leak up in the top pond (a few of the retaining wall blocks had settled enough to where a little water was leaking constantly (yeah i know) )
to where i had to add about 100 gals every 5 days or so.. i was getting around to fixing it honest i was...

well Sat i over filled big time.. but didnt think much of it as i had done that before.

seems since it was overfilled so bad it made the small leak become a rapid leak i guess..

well 5 hours later in 92 degree heat blocks re-levelled, looks llike no leaks thus far.. fish saved.

i love my pond but somedays.... wife is like fill the dang thing back in (and this is the woman who talks to the fish whist feeding)

Good thing you didnt go to church!

I doubt your wife meant it either LOL.

My hubby is always giving ME crap for talking to the fish. HA! Now I have him doing it too. I have 40 or so (maybe closer to 50) babies in a 60" plastic kiddie pool in the kitchen. They are now at the point that every time I walk by them, they come to the side and bob up and down like little buoys with their mouths just gaping open. I feed them 5x a day, all they can eat in about 3 minutes (I feed them each time I feed the smaller babies). If it is NOT my intent to feed them, my husband tells them that "momma is mean, and starving them"... HA! I know they are OVERFED as it is, they are not gonna waste away! They wont lay IN my hand yet, but they are nibbling on fingers. He doesnt complain so much with the outside fish... other than saying when he is working on the filter, he feels like he has a pack of sharks waiting for him (yup, they know Momma feeds them too and people are a GOOD thing).

Talking to the fish is a GOOD THING,, Dont try to tell us YOU dont LOL.

Great, glad you diverted disaster, that would have been horrible to come home to them all in trouble.
