We have a pond/lake in our neighborhood and the valve inside the overflow is leaking. I have pics but need to know how to repair this. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a large gate valve? You may need a plumber.

Might be able to rebuild, found some info for Clow gate valves based on those numbers.

Thank you. It appears it’s hooked to a pipe that leads to the pond. Do you know if you can do that in this manner or do you need to plug the inlet first?

The video says to isolate from pressure. Not sure if it even shows the correct valve model. I am not qualified to give you any specifics.

As mentioned first step is to make sure there is no pressure within the pipe. If this is an over flow im not sure why you would even have a valve unless the overflow had no where to go and the water needed to be managed as it may flood out neighbors.
But generally look for all the numbers/stamps you can find like the 1990 and 2630 then you'll want to get in touch with a plu.bing warehouse. Many will not have these but they should be able to point you too a supplier in your area. The guts should be able to be replaced. But I do suspect the valve is 30 years old. Its going to depend on who made it if there are even any replacement parts or if the entire valve needs to go.
