So I've been visited by a herring everyday for about a week now. All my koi are there, not sure about the goldfish. They have been hiding and won't come out . I found some hiding sideways under the folds of the liner, so I made them a hideout. hopefully they will use it. so far so good, with out smarting that damn bird. I sick the dogs on it every chance I get.

Oldhead,

I find this interesting, single strands of wire about 2' apart is what this pond owner came up with. Not nearly as obtrusive as a net but still effective.

Nice hide out oldhead, is it big enough for all the fishies? Maybe put some of the black drain pipes, the 4 inch ones, on the bottom would help. They are light weight, so if the fish bump it they would most likely not hurt themselves.
You could use the ones with the drain holes for through water flow.
