The ones in the last pic is what i buy at tractor supply it is used to help make chicken eggs harder .They feed it to chickens .I also use peroxide to clean everything around my pond and soak my furnace filter and quilt batting in peroxide and water .It is harmless to fish .Barley breaks down into peroxide

peroxide is great for getting rid of algae, I used to toss 14 liters of it in my arizona pond (14000 gallons) to wipe out the string algae in the spring. It grew like weeds in that pond, luckily none in my maryland pond.

I had a little string algae in the fall on my pond but I think that came from neglect of my pond when hubby was in the hospital .I had to drive down to Duke hospital in NC and that is over an hour ride each way .He got out and then 5 days later back in Danville hospital .
