Hi just wanted to say hello to everyone here,
We dug our first pond last week and can't wait to get it up and running, however we bought a liner from Amazon but it's yet to arrive!!

So for now we are stuck with all the equipment but no pond to put it in :)

Anyway off to explore the site.

that should do.. your pond is just over 500 US gallons i think , dont wait if its not full of bio media, fill it,you can never have too much filter. good luck and youve got a nice start. start your filter with microbelift pl gel you wont be dissappointed.

Bio Media..do you mean the plastic bits on the bottom of the filter??
If you do, the filter came with lots and the filter is full with them in.

o.k the plastic balls should be the bio media, thats where the bacteria colonizes to feed on the nutrients that your fish's poop will put into the water, they ncan be toxic to your fish.. the bacteria feed on it and keep your water clean. the pl gel is the fastest colonizing bacteria out there. then ypull want some liquid to add small amounts every couple of weeks as maintainence dosing to keep the colonies strong. any brand of liquid is sufficient. i use Organica pristine pond its also fantastic. no pond supply outlets or garden supplies(they carry pond supplies too) near you huh?
