My wife has always wanted a koi pond. She was thinking about one of those pre formed plastic ones. I said wait and let me do some research. So once we decided to build one I thought " we already have to buy the pump" so why not go a little bigger and have a waterfall, and while i am at it how about a creek comming out of the woods. It has been 6 weeks since that idea. We now have a lower pond an upper pond 40' of creek and 5 waterfalls. All in all about 4500 gal. A large Big bahamas filter and a skimmer with seperate pump.
I had no idea how much work this was actually going to be. Posion Ivey, Bee stings, Back aches, Sun burn and a cut gas line to the house. ( I thought a new exactly where it was) Not to mention all the rocks were hand picked from various locations. After the first rock run i thought we had plenty. Not. We had around 15 hand picked truck loads.
Anyhow here is a link to my pictures for anyone that wants to see. Next spring we plan on a deck and landscaping.

Rick and Kelley.

Welcome to gpf! Wow! Wonderful pond and stream! Enjoyed the pup pics, too. I think most of us can commiserate with the aches and pains, plus the rock hauling. Good thing the end result is worth all of it. :)

Welcome to the forums! :)

It all looks great, I look forward to hearing about how you get on with the landscaping.
