i am building a larger pond for my 4 turtles. I live in Florida so they can stay in the pond all year. Turles create a lot of waste so i am always trying to upgrade my filtration. Love all the ideas on gardenpondforum.com.
Hello and welcome! I have box turtles. Even though they are non-aquatics, I was looking for a way to provide them with a fresh water supply — daily emptying and cleaning soaking bowls wasn’t cutting it. So, I built a 3000 gal pond in the back yard. The turts don’t have access to the pond, but I built a “bog filter” inside their habitat that is like a satellite pond fed from the big pond. Mine are non-aquatic, box turtles. I just always wash my hands when I handle them. No idea what specific precautions there would be for aquatic turtles.welcome, looking to learn about turtles
