Hi everyone, thought I'd share some pics of my new pond.
The grass is still growing in around the sides, and I'm supposed to get a better sized pump box lid. Had this built in June, so its about 7 weeks old. Aside from the few water lilies I'm just getting around to pond plantings now. I looked locally but couldn't find anyplace that offered the plantings I wanted, so ordered a number of plants from pondmegastore. I've heard some ppl like the place and some ppl don't, and I don't want to wade into that. The plants I ordered are dwarf umbrella palm (3), blue flag iris (3), pickerel rush (4) and common cattail (3). The pictured water lilies are in those pond baskets filled with rocks. My question is, can the plantings I ordered from PMS (lolz) be placed directly in the pond like that (there's a shallower shelf around the edges)? I don't know if they will come in those baskets with the rocks, or a regular plastic planter with soil?? Do I need to transplant those plantings into something different?
