Yup - anything they are selling as perennial now is perfect - fall is actually a good time to plant perennials. They just need a few weeks to get established, which I'm sure they will have in your zone.

There is only one nursery within 75 miles that sells aquatic plants and they are all out until spring.
Can't seem to find any on line either.

That makes sense - it's not planting season in many parts of the country.

Are you looking for marginals or lilies?

All of that work and this morning the pond level was dow about 1". So i filled it up to to where it was yesterday and it took about 45 min. to drop down again. Is there an easy way to find this leak?
Thanks

Can you post some photos of the finished pond? Sometimes the best way to point to potential issues is if we can see photos.

In the meantime, take a walk around the perimeter and look for damp spots, low spots, rocks that may have slipped. Waterfalls are notorious for misdirecting water. If the level stops going down at a certain point, you've at least identified that it's not a leak or loose connection in your plumbing. So a low edge is the next most likely spot.

OK - I'm a little confused about the skimmer situation. Was the skimmer installed inside the liner?

Yes. And the pump was inside the skimmer. Some on this forum convinced me to put the pump on the bottom of the pond.It makes sense for me since i don't have any trees around the pond.I might put it back as a planter.
