New to here and ponds

Morning All,
Thanks for having me/setting up this forum.

I installed a 1250L Blagdon pre formed late July last year and I am now beginning to learn more and more about ponds....mainly blanket weed, balance, UV lights etc - basically everything that can go wrong

I am looking forward to drawing on your knowledge to help me get ready for my first proper season with my fish (4 shubumkins & 2 canary goldfish) and pond plants etc and having some fun

Welcome to the forum. it sounds like you have a nice size pond for the amount of fish you have. I would recommend to read up how to cycle a pond. The thing to remember is you may have some algae in the beginning, but eventually once the pond cycles it will go away naturally and you don't have to do anything special to get rid of it. Good luck!
