@Run91
How about some photo's of the area where you want to put the pond and how big you want it. The bigger the better I always say! What kind of fish or is it going to be fishless?

wait a minute; you mean NO ONE neglected one of YOUR questions? Dayum, I'm pretty sure it wasn't on my watch...someone's pulling too much of their weight around here...we gotta figure this out, I mean, there's a reputation involved! We can't go around NEVER not answering questions...might attract too many to GPF and...OOOHHHHHHH, that's the IDEA, isn't it????

Thanks @rubyduby , for settin' me straight!

(just glad you didn't warn @Run91 about all the weirdoes and wackos running around the place...!) :D :D

Not so sure about that. @Run91 says they want a small pond, and I'm pretty sure we're only capable of encouraging ever-larger ponds at the expense of all else. Happened to me. @GBBUDD & @brokensword almost talked me into bulldozing my house to make more space for a bigger pond.

@combatwombat most of us here have learned to never cut off excess liner. It can come in so handy in the future if any changes need to be made. Now if you have a ton of it left and no way can bury a lot of it then save what you can. You won't be sorry!
