Hi all, new the site and to pond life. I've recently built a pond in my garden, using a strong liner. I'm looking to give it some character ratger than looking like a big box with water in it.

I'm thinking of purchasing a statue or bridge which could sit at the bottom for the fish to hide under etc.

Anyone know if I need to be careful in regards poisons within the materials etc. The ones I've seen are basically cement or concrete moulds.

Nice looking pond and never seen one lined w/what is that? Bamboo? Very cool looking! I think the concrete leaches things into the water but others here w/more experience in that kind of material will help you w/that.

if you want something that will help your pond not look like a box why not add some life to it and build a bog or two . Add plants and build a box for the bog with a complimenting material something to compliment the straw / reed matting.

Good idea. I'm trying to think about how I would attach and hold the pots or tray in the water. My pond has no shelves.

On one side of the pond if not both you can build a window box water proof it sit it on the side of the pond and make a couple legs for the other side .
