Hello and welcome to our group. Nice pond and l like all the little "things" you have all around. How big is it and are those koi or goldfish? It's hot here in Louisiana, too :hungover:

I am guessing it is somewhere around 1000 gallons. I started with a preform and my fish survived that for about 4 years and then my son in law said 'time for a real pond'! I now have 13 fish, 5 babies from last year, 2 koi that i got as babies last year (now huge!) and an assortment of other fish. I inherited a little baby fish with some tadpoles i bought and he is growing nicely. I have very hard water here, despite having a softener but the fish seem happy enough, they have spawned 6 times already this year but I think the koi had the babies for breakfast . Had to rebuild due to bio filter blowout, after one of the clips broke late at night. Fish almost died but we managed to save them all, rebuild and make pond bigger at the same time. Anyway, its a hobby that i love and its relaxing to sit and watch my lovely fish playing around. Couple more pics, first one is the devastation after filter blowout and how it looks now :)

Yes, i use a large umbrella over it during the sunniest part of the day. I tint the water too to give them some more shade. Daytime temp is usually consistent at around 80f. Shaded beautifully till around 1pm and then the brolly goes up :) fish usually hang out in the deepest part till the evening :)
