Hi, We live just inside the M25 in Essex, England. Our pond was installed about 10 years ago. It's 7ft x 7ft x 4ft deep. I have built my own filters in the past and just found out about prefilters. We have a mixture of fish, Koi, large goldfish, Mirror carp and tench.

and wow what a hardy fish that i don't believe i heard of before...yep had to goggle it

they are called the doctor fish, I was advised to put some in the pond first after about a week of just the filter running. if they survive the water is OK, I think I have a couple left from the original 6.
