Newly Hatched Dove

I visit this dove sitting in a Leyland Cypress next to my pond each morning
on her nest. This morning you can see one of the babies that hatched sticking
it's head out! Pretty cool that she lets me so close. It's her 2nd year here ...

I have a bully of a dove that I wish would leave. A tiny Phoebe spent a full week making a beautiful nest out of moss. She placed it in a perfect spot under a porch roof. Withing a few days the dove moved in and laid an egg and now the Phoebe sits on the railing watching the nest. The dove tried the same thing in a robins nest but the robin came back and chased her away.
