My pond is 6 years old. Every year I have tons of tadpoles. They just appear like magic! Finally, finally I found eggs and newly hatched taddies! Was reaching into the water to pull out something (plant?) and it felt slimy so I investigated further. No idea if they’re frogs or toads, but will look that up in minute — was so excited to see that they weren’t placed there due to an alien spaceship encounter!

Neat and congrats! I don't know how to tell the difference between frog or toad tadpoles.

Well, apparently they’re “toadpoles.” Was hoping for “frogpoles,” but.....

@j.w Unless I’m wrong — frogs lay in a mass of eggs and toads lay in strings.
