Nitritech filter

Hi was wondering if a nitritech vortex chamber would ok to have a submersible uvc in it or if the light would break down the plastic ?

According to the company selling the uv it would cope fine with the water flow rates but they couldn't say if the vortex plastic would be ok.

I could not find any product information on Nutritech filters on-line other than general photos. I would assume that these filters are manufactured of a type of ABS plastic that is used by other pond filtration manufacturers. This ABS is UV resistant. I would also think that the UV would not be in close proximity to the filter wall which would also reduce any possible contamination by the UV.
I know what the company told you but the flow rate in the vortex MUST not exceed the maximum flow rate recommended for the UV. Too high of a flow rate would completely negate any effects of the UV.
