Not Exactly a Pond Plant

We have a big fig tree...hubby started a fig tree for our son two years ago. Last summer he gave us back
a baby fig tree that he started from a sucker...We wintered it over in the house and put it out in May.
I think It tripled in size. Anyhow, we put it pondside ( in a pot - outside the pond) and it has tripled in size.
We water it with pond water everyday.

..Also, we have canna in the pond ( it’s a land plant) and that does well.
