Hi all,
Yesterday installed a all pond solutions pfc50000 filter but had real trouble getting the screw cap on to the filter, every time I got any where near tight it popped almost cross threaded, the screw cap without the o seal went straight on no issues.
I have had no choice but to use ptfe tape to seal the caps but there is a tiny drop every hour or so coming from the cap.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome! Sorry, can’t help you with the filter.
my first inclination is to say you're putting the seal on backwards; looks like one side is flat, the other slightly bowed. If you haven't, try flipping it both ways and see if one way works better than the others. Another thought is; this seal may actually sit 'into' one of the screw cabs and you have to actually 'push' it down. My backpack sprayer is like this. might be why you can't get enough threads to hold upon tightening.

And of course, you may be overtightening?
