Oase biotec 5

Hi guys I’m after abit of help please I just acquired the oase biotec 5 running the oase 5500 pump all seems to be running fine but I’m abit unsure on the water level, are the media sponges meant to be fully submerged does anyone no as this one is only half way up, the outlet water flow is great just unsure on this, have seen a few posts online with the same question but never had an answer to this
