Odd behaviour or normal behaviour?

Last week I purchased 2 x 5" golden tench from the local aquatic store they seem to be doing fine but the only problem is they found a small gap in the pond liner and hide in it all day. When the sun has gone and it's dark they come out and feed etc. Is this normal behaviour or slowly will they slowly integrate with the rest of the fish in the pond?

Give them time, they will be out and about with the others. They are just nervous.
