Nice shot and love those doves. They are very skittish here anyways so you are fortunate to get such a nice picture.

Lovely, can you tell us what photographic equipment you use?
Sure I can. I use some of the best equipment Canon makes. It is all pro gear, you by no means need this to get great results.

The Camera is a Canon 1Dx, it shoots 12 frames per second and shoots in very high ISO's if need for low light conditions.

The lens is Canon's 800mm lens which has image stabilizer on it. For this shot I did have it on a Gitzo tripod with a full gimbal head by Really Right Stuff. I usually hand hold most of the shots but on occasion use a monopod also.

It took me a long time to acquire the gear we have now but it is a pleasure to use. We do have full studio lighting for wedding, senior portraits, etc and have done them all also. But the true passion is wildlife photography
