Hello All,

I have just built a small pond in garden of 3ft dia and 2 ft depth for lotus and water hyacinth with aquatic plants and bottom is filled with mix of soil and sand and gravel above it.
Planning to get few fish in it. Please suggest which can survive in it.
Temp variation is: highest 38 C( 100 F) summer; lowest 5-8 C (40F) in winter.

goldfish, native minnows; your pond isn't large enough to adequately keep koi.

I would go with the native minnows. 100 F is high for goldfish, and depending on the depth of the planting medium, you really don't have a lot of water in there.
