Outlet for overflow drain.

Hello. I had a question about outlet for overflow drain. I put my outlet buried in ground or should I have had the end of it sticking out of the ground rather than burying it. Was thinking overflow water would seep into earth. Thank you!

I would leave it open so it doesn't get clogged. Make sure it slopes down away from pond.

There’s a hill due you in back of my fence, I think that may be why the person who helped put it in the ground.
