Roj Moody submitted a new Showcase Item:

Oxyenating weed.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this annoying issue.
Gradually over the past 4 weeks the oxygenator weed has vanished from my pond.
The pond supports all the common wild life you come across in garden ponds and is home to many Sticklebacks.
What was strange was that when I cleaned out the pump filter there were loads of small bits of the weed.
I don't have any fancy fish that have been known to eat weed, could something have eaten it or has it died back?

If your mean anachris or hornwort then that's pretty common for it to fall apart . Calling it oxygenating is also misleading as what little it adds in the way of oxygenation is minor. The stuff does best when left to float and the more sunight it gets the better it likes it. If you have goldfish they will eat it,so do koi. More then likely it just fell apart due to not liking its conditions.
