We are finally bringing the boat down this weekend. A lot of delays, mechanics wife had surgery, then his mom died unexpectedly. So we have been on pause, the few survey related repairs are now done. We let him get things done when he could, didn't want to add the boat to his other life stressors.

Luckily the weather will be decent this weekend, cold but calmish winds. Today and tomorrow they are calling for howling winds.

We get to go on a 8ish hour boat ride. Our good neighbor is going to take us to the Delaware ferry after we drop off a car in Annapolis. The captain will pick us up at the ferry, then we take a boat ride, up through a canal back down to Annapolis. We are going to be doing some learning the boat, it has auto pilot, side thrust-er, dual engines with only one control per engine vs two which we had on the sea ray.

The blue line is my neighbors round trip, she is also keeping our pups for us until we get back home. 3 hours one way.
The purple our boat ride about a 8 hours.

The weather is shaky huge cold front coming, winds etc.

The weekend has the calmest days, still around 10 mph with gusts up to 20mph.

We are looking forward to getting the boat. Started this adventure on 9/21
Our old boat sold so we are now boat less. Well we still have our 21 foot boot.

lol yes just sold the SeaRay 1987, our new old boat should be in the slip this weekend. It is a 2001 Carver. We will have a lot of driving and boating to get it to our marina.

It will be an experience. Longest boat ride I will have ever been on. Except cruises, but I don't call them boats, they are floating hotels.

My only concern is the weather. These cold fronts rolling in bring winds. The Chesapeake Bay can get really fired up. Huge waves, bad winds. The best calm day is Thanksgiving Day, after that the winds increase again.
